Open Practice
Open Practice is a time to work independently on class material, conditioning, flexibility and act development. Instructors will assist with rigging, supervise and answer questions, but will not teach new skills.
- To participate in open practice, you must have received formal training from an aerial instructor. Open practice is not an opportunity to teach yourself aerial.
- You may work only on material you have learned in a class.
- You may not teach skills to other students.
- Crash mats must be used at all times unless you are using the apparatus as a prop for ground conditioning. If you are rehearsing for a performance with floorwork that prohibits the use of a mat, please talk to the staff member on duty before going without a mat.
- Participants must be 16 or older or have instructor/studio permission.
- Students under 18 must use a crash mat at all times, no exceptions.
- To use your own apparatus at SLAC, you will need to get approval from the studio in advance. This process takes at least 24 hours.
- Please cancel your reservation online if you decide not to attend, so that someone else may use your spot.
